Following the Easter story last week of His victorious resurrection, when Jesus appeared to Mary. The passage in John 20 verses 19-31 explores the responses of His disciples to the realisation that Jesus is alive. Reading – Psalm 133 StF 30 – Jesus Stand Among Us Prayer of Praise Praise be to God - By whose wisdom we are created and sustained Praise be to God - By whose love we are redeemed and forgiven Praise be to God – By whose grace we are comforted and redeemed Praise be to God - By whose Spirit we are made whole and perfected Prayer of Thanksgiving Faithful God, we give thanks For the Love & comfort of our Father, The giver of good things: Let us bless the Lord Thanks be to God For the world’s beauty and the changing seasons and for the life that we have been given: Let us bless the Lord Thanks be to God For Christ’s suffering and death on the cross, and His resurrection to new life: Let us bless the Lord Thanks be to God Prayer of Confession We have sinned in thought, word and dead We have not loved you with all our hearts We have not loved our neighbours as ourselves We are sorry and turn away from what is wrong In the silence we say sorry ~silence~ Forgive us for the sake of your Son Prayer of Forgiveness Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. This is his gracious word: “Your sin are forgiven” Amen. For countries experiencing a further wave of increased cases to stop the virus in its tracks. Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer Give grace to us To our families & friends And to all our neighbours That we may serve Christ in one another And love as he loves us Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer Let us pray for all who suffer For the sick For those who mourn For those without faith For those who serve the needy Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer Merciful Father accept these prayer in the name of your Son Jesus Christ our saviour Amen The Lord's Prayer Our Father in heaven, hallowed by your Name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. Loving God Enable us to follow Your commission to lead others to you, through the knowledge of the resurrection of Jesus, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Use our doubts and our faith to let those around us know that that You love them, and that through Your forgiveness they are promised Your peace and eternal live. Amen
