Welcome to worship with Kingswood his 4th Sunday of Easter - we will be considering Jesus the Good Shepherd and sharing in a Love Feast, so gather a candle to light, or a lamp, some bread or cake, and a glass of water each in readiness. St John said “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us “– this Jesus is the Good Shepherd who shows us how to put love into action. We worship him now
Stf 481 The Lord's my shepherd
Message 'Jesus the Good Shepherd'
StF 712 Put peace in each other's hands
Agape Meal, A Love Feast
To prepare for the Agape Meal gather these things at home… a candle or lamp to light, bread to eat and water to drink, before you start the next video.
StF 596 Now let us from this table rise
Blessing – Return to the world for the Good Shepherd is there, waiting to meet you and guide you. Go with eyes open to see him, ears open to hear him, a mind open to receive him and a heart open to serve him, for his Name’s sake. Amen

We are of course still in the Easter season. Easter was very strange we've perhaps even forgotten it because nothing immense happened. The children are back at school, but we are firmly in the Easter season. We shall be looking later in our service at one of the accounts in the Gospels of the risen Jesus appearing to the disciples and so our hymns today are on an Easter theme
Welcome
StF 295 Alleluia, alleluia, give thanks to the risen Lord
Prayers & Gospel reading. Luke 24 v36b - 48
StF 272. From heaven you came, helpless babe.
Stuart Bell.  Address: "Jesus himself stood among them” and Prayers for others.
StF 298 Christ the Lord is risen today
Blessing

Faithful God, we give thanks

For the Love & comfort of our Father, The giver of good things:

For Christ’s suffering and death on the cross, and His resurrection to new life:
Let us bless the Lord Thanks be to God

Prayer of Confession
We have sinned in thought, word and dead
We have not loved you with all our hearts
We have not loved our neighbours as ourselves

We are sorry and turn away from what is wrong
In the silence we say sorry

Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer

For COVID pandemic:
For all who work to help those infected
For those working on the vaccine roll out
For our government to make the correct decisions about exiting lockdown.
For countries experiencing a further wave of increased cases to stop the virus in its tracks.

Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer

Give grace to us
To our families & friends
And to all our neighbours
That we may serve Christ in one another
And love as he loves us

Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer

Let us pray for all who suffer
For the sick
For those who mourn
For those without faith
For those who serve the needy

Lord in your mercy, Hear our prayer

Merciful Father accept these prayer in the name of your Son Jesus Christ our saviour
Amen

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father in heaven, hallowed by your Name,
your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save us from the time of trial but deliver us from evil
For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, now and for ever.
Amen
StF 313 – Thine Be the Glory
Blessing
Loving God
Enable us to follow Your commission to lead others to you, through the knowledge of the resurrection of Jesus, and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Use our doubts and our faith to let those around us know that that You love them, and that through Your forgiveness they are promised Your peace and eternal live.
Amen
